Washington Flea Markets & Swap Meets
Puget Sound markets run mostly as monthly and seasonal events rather than weekly swap meets, which changes both what you pay and what the state asks of you.

Selling at a Washington flea market
Washington fits occasional sellers unusually well. Two events a year or fewer, each under a month, and a free Temporary Registration Certificate covers you, no licence fee at all. Beyond that you need a state business licence, and a reseller permit is what lets you buy wholesale without paying sales tax.
There is a quirk in the promoter rule worth knowing. Market promoters must verify vendor registration or face $100 per unregistered vendor, but only where they charge a vendor more than $200 to take part. Most day rates are far below that, so at the average market nobody will check, which does not remove your own obligation to be registered.
Published day rates in the region run from $60 at the cheapest markets to $149 for a premium reserved space. Washington gives occasional sellers a free Temporary Registration Certificate covering up to two events a year, and requires a state business licence beyond that. A reseller permit is what lets you buy wholesale without paying sales tax.
