About Via Trading

Wholesale liquidation since 2002.

Via Trading buys and sells liquidation and excess merchandise, from cases and pallets to multi-pallet lots and truckloads. Our customers include retailers, online sellers, exporters, wholesalers and other resellers in the U.S. and around the world.

Alongside supplying liquidation inventory to resellers, Via Trading also works with companies on the other side of the liquidation business. LiquidateNow helps companies liquidate excess inventory, while WeSolveReturns provides customer returns processing, reporting and liquidation services.

Our story

We Started as Buyers

Via Trading was founded in 2002 by brothers Jacques and Alain Stambouli.

We started with four people in a 6,000-square-foot warehouse and retail store in West Los Angeles. The original plan was to buy excess merchandise and resell it through our own retail and online channels.

We didn’t start as a wholesaler.

Within the first month, other resellers began asking to buy merchandise from us in quantity. A single wholesale sale could move in minutes what might otherwise take several days to sell through retail. The five-year plan changed quickly.

We also knew what it was like to buy liquidation merchandise ourselves. Information was often limited, descriptions could be unreliable, and it was not always clear whether the seller actually controlled the merchandise being offered.

That experience stayed with us as Via Trading moved into wholesale liquidation.

Software Built Around Our Business

Since before 2010, we have developed and customized software across our operations, marketing, buyer tools and liquidation services.

Over the years, we built dozens of applications and extensively customized the third-party system at the center of our business. In 2025, we began rebuilding that software from the ground up using modern programming languages and technologies. Our own platform went live in 2026 and supports our operations, customer services and website, with continued development handled by our in-house team.

Learn about the Load Center

From 6,000 Square Feet to Today

We outgrew the original West Los Angeles location quickly and moved several times as the business expanded.

Today, our Lynwood facility includes approximately 230,000 square feet of covered space and 550,000 square feet in total.

Our Tampa facility includes approximately 70,000 square feet of covered space and 100,000 square feet in total.

Not everything we sell passes through a Via Trading facility. Many listings ship directly from their point of origin, and our inventory network includes dozens of shipping points across the United States.

The People Behind Via

Via Trading has about 80 employees today.

Average employee tenure is approximately 10 years, and more than one-third of our employees have been with Via for over a decade.

Our sales team includes about a dozen Account Managers, many with 10 years or more at Via.

Liquidation Is Still Liquidation

The buildings are larger and the tools are better. Liquidation itself has not become simple.

Inventory changes. Conditions vary. Some loads come with detailed manifests and a lot of data. Others come with much less. Freight matters. Merchandise that works well for one reseller may make no sense for another.

We show buyers what we know, say what we don’t, and make it as straightforward as possible to buy.
