One of the largest markets in the west, trading since the 1940s and open Friday to Sunday rain or shine. Friday is much the cheapest way to test the market at $12 cash, in a designated Friday area with any available space. Weekend rates depend on where you land: a "next available" space is assigned, while a "pick" lets you choose. The operator runs buy-one-get-one promotions — a next-available space at $30 with a second for $5, or a pick at $40 to $55 with a second for $5 — so the posted rate is not always the best available. Produce sellers are priced on the same scale.
